Vallarta Botanical Gardens is located in Puerto Vallarta’s South Shore. This 20-acre botanical garden is situated 1,300 ft (roughly 400m) above sea level and features hiking trails that weave through the natural forest as well as the grounds of the botanical gardens. You can also swim in the Rio Horcones that runs alongside the gardens.
